MANUFACTURING RIFLE BARRELS FOR OVER 30 YEARS
The history and experience of The Phoenix Barrel Company Limited traces back to Border Barrels, founded by founded by Dr Geoffrey Kolbe in 1989.After many successful years making high quality barrels, Border Barrels moved from their home in the Scottish Borders to be integrated into a new site at Sassen engineering, in the centre of Birmingham. This allowed Sassen to move into the manufacture of Rifle barrels in many different calibres, twist rates and profiles which are supplied to Military/Law enforcement and civilian sectors.

In 2022 the Barrel division of Sassen was acquired by four British international target rifle shooters and re-named as The Phoenix Barrel Company Limited.
